The time came and went as did the buses... Still I waited...
And waited.
“She must have missed the bus.” I thought and back then we didn't have cell phones, to be able to call her... so I waited some more... Finally I knew, I dreaded knowing the true the facts, but then I knew.
She stood me UP!
I felt sick.
The next day at school, I tried to hide whenever she was walking near, I made sure I was always seen laughing with my buddies... I never wanted her to know how super humiliated I felt by her standing me up.
Even though I tried not to, I was so embarrassed, my face burned and turned beet red whenever she came near... I couldn’t look her in the eye or even talk... this sucked, because she was the one that stood me UP! Why should I feel this way!
This was so wrong!
It was on that very day, I made a solemn vow to myself as a young man. I would never EVER be humiliated by a girl again!
