Filipino American men are those who born or became naturalized in the United States. There are differences between the fresh Filipinos who just migrated to the US and those who have been living in the US for a long time. If you look at a new Filipino, then you know he just came here based on the clothes he wears (tsinelas, etc.) or the food he eats as well as the heavily Spanish thick accent they speak English. However, it is the culture in the Philippines that  he carries over and that’s good. So, American born Filipinos and those who have been her since the young age are weighted higher than the fresh Philippines people.

They don’t, really. Of course, most of single women in the Philippines prefer to marry American born Filipino men. The goal to marry a Pinoy is to come to the US to work and/or expand their business, make good money, establish a great future for themselves and their kids. So, they have no option. I have to tell that most Filipino Americans born here or been her since the young age, they are Americanized. They don’t even know about the traditional culture values of the local people in the Philippines.

The woman in the Philippines prefers to marry newbie Filipino American men because they want to share cultural values, of course, if they have an option. Most of Filipina ladies who are in search of American-born Filipino guys or native Americans are for citizenship. You can argue with me about this but most of them have poor living conditions and want to move out of the Philippines to make money. Their goal is to get out of there, migrate to the US, work and make money to help their parents and siblings. There are other reasons that single ladies from the Philippines marry Filipino Americans.

There are some things else they need to actually be here in the US to understand about that. For example, the Filipina ladies don’t understand about credit card or mortgage debt that most Pinoys do. In the United States, most people have credit card or mortgage debt and it is normal. As soon as you pay for these debts monthly, you are fine. Even millionaire people have debts as well. However, most people back home don’t have debt. In fact, they can’t lend money if they are poor. They can’t use credit card or buy a house without fully pay for it. So, make sure you guys, Filipino Americans don’t mention about those debts or you must explain clearly about that.

Don’t listen to what others say about Filipina ladies leaving you after they became a permanent resident of the US. Only a few of them leave their husbands for someone else because of dishonesty from the husbands. I suggest you tell the truth about life in America before you marry her. If you are a cleaner and earn 70,000 pesos a month or you work as a software engineer and make 400,000 a month, then tell her about that. Don’t try to “show off” too much about US lifestyle. When she comes to America, she will find out the truth.

In conclusion, the Filipino American men that local single women in the Philippines like to marry are those who were American born or raised in the US as well as those who just migrated to this country. Of course, they don’t have an option to select. You are a Filipino man who lives in the US, no matter who old you are, you can get married with a beautiful and young Pinay back home.
